Alan McLellan

DPHS Aberdeen DPHS Aberdeen

Alan came to DPHS Aberdeen through the Stuart Resource Centre; a centre for people with Multiple Sclerosis. DPHS staff went through the list of housing areas with Alan and supported him in applying to the various housing associations. Following this, Alan was contacted by 2 housing providers, Margaret Blackwood Housing Association (MBHA) and Aberdeen City Council, who both offered him accommodation.

After inspecting the MBHA accommodation Alan willingly accepted their offer and today he lives at Raeden Court, which has accommodation specially designed for people with physical disabilities. He was re-housed within 6 months of registering with DPHS and has been living there happily for more than 4 years. Furthermore, he is working in a voluntary capacity with DPHS, which is also based at Raeden Court .
